Police at Nateete are holding one suspect in connection with a case of child torture that occurred in Kanaala Zone, Mutundwe Parish, Bunamwaya Division, Wakiso District.
The victim is a 10-year-old boy, a Primary Four pupil.
The suspect has been identified as Nankunda Esther, a 34-year-old resident of the above-mentioned area.
It is alleged that the suspect had been entrusted with the care of the child by her brother.
Preliminary findings indicate that on Eid Day, 20th March 2026, at approximately 1700 hours, the suspect allegedly burnt the victim’s hands using a heated white polythene bag, accusing him of stealing money amounting to 100,000 UGX.
The victim has since been rescued and medically examined.
The suspect is currently in police custody pending court proceedings.
