The Directorate is headed by Senior Commisioner of Police, Nuwabiine Lawrance . The function of the Directorate is to enforce traffic and road safety laws with a view of ensuring safety for all road users.

The Directorate of Police Health Services is headed by Assistant Inspector General of Police Dr. Byaruhanga Moses. The Directorate is responsible for treatment, prevention and control of diseases for purposes of promoting good health lifestyles and behavior in the Police community. The Directorate shall extend its services to the surrounding communities through medical emergency response in partnership with other Directorates involved in rescue operations; and examination of victims and suspects who may require such evidence in the process of providing justice.
The Directorate is headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Andrew Mubiru; and is responsible for detecting, investigating and preventing crime regarding highly specialized areas of cyber, ballistics, chemical analysis and questioned documents among others.

Human Resource Development include among others, training employees hired, providing opportunities to learn and acquire knowledge, new skills, right attitude and providing a conducive environment for employees development.
The Directorate is headed by Senior Commisioner of Police, Joseph Obwona, who is assisted by a deputy director. The role of the Directorate is to ensure international and regional cooperation in the fight against trans-national crime.
The Directorate is headed bySenior Commisioner of Police, James Apora. The Directorate develops and implements strategic policy for logistical and engineering support services for the Uganda Police Force.
