KABALE
The police have in detention a 19 year old man for alleged murder.
The suspect is Gideon Bikorwomuhangi of Birambo Cell, Birambo Parish in Maziba Sub County, Kabale district.
The incident in which the suspect is alleged to have cut the deceased neck with a panga from behind happened on Saturday at Kaburasi Trading Center.
The suspect was however arrested by the locals before handing him over to the police.
It is alleged that the suspect murdered one Reuben Kabebe, 25, a boda boda rider of the same address following a disagreement over money from playing cards (gambling).
Kabebe was rushed to Maziba Health Centre IV from where he died moments later.
Arrangements for postmortem was on by press time and further inquiries are underway vide SD 50/04/08/2018.
