Police is searching for a two year old child Denis Bajje who went missing on Sunday with her 18 year old babysitter on the way from Namutumba to Kampala.
The baby sitter identified as Sumini Nakagolo who also a relative to the family of the child was bringing back Bajje to her mother from the village where they had been for the last one month when they disappeared.
According to Mary Mirembe the mother of the missing child, she last talked to the caretaker on Sunday 27th January 2019 at around 3pm when they had reached Jinja.
However, since then the phone has gone off and no attempt has been made to contact her.
It has been discovered that yesterday Monday January 28th 2019, Nakagolo tried contacting her sister in Namaremba Village, Namutumba District.
Information in the hands of Police indicate that Nakagolo using her known phone number called one of her sister’s neighbors and asked to speak to her. When asked where she was, the phone went off and has since not been turned on.
The case of missing persons for both the child and the babysitter has since been recorded at Central Police Station Kampala and Maganjo Police Station where Mirembe stays with her Husband and Child.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango has urged anyone who knows the whereabouts of the two persons to report to the nearest Police Station.
