On November 14, 2024, around 7:30 PM, a group of assailants attacked KEZAABU IRENE at her workplace, BUGUMA & K.I MOTOR CYCLES SPARES ENTERPRISE, located in Kisenyi-Mugunu Cell, Baazar Ward, Central Division of Fort Portal City. The attackers, estimated to be eight in number and armed with a rifle, confronted the victim and other employees, threatening them with death unless they surrendered money. They managed to steal approximately fifty million shillings (50,000,000/=), which was handed over to them before they fled the scene.
The police were alerted and responded promptly. An irate mob apprehended one of the assailants, known only by the nickname KANYANKORE, who was subsequently lynched. Meanwhile, our intelligence indicated that another key suspect, BUSINGE ABDUL alias VINNER, had boarded a bus heading to Kampala. Mubende Police intercepted the bus, successfully arresting BUSINGE ABDUL. Some of the stolen money was recovered during this operation.
