BUL FC 1–3 Police FC

Police FC headed into the international break for the TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 on a high after securing an impressive 3–1 victory over BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, on Tuesday.

Goals from Bedia Ikamba, Daniel Jakony, and Obedi Brian James sealed a much-needed win for The Cops, who returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion.

Police started brightly and could have taken an early lead, but Denis Kalanzi failed to make the most of two clear chances inside the penalty area.

The breakthrough came in the 14th minute when Congolese forward Ikamba opened the scoring, finishing off a low-driven cross from left-back Richard Matovu. It was Ikamba’s fifth goal of the season, and he was later named Man of the Match.

The visitors continued to press for a second goal, but BUL FC drew level just before halftime through Karim Ndugwa.

Police returned from the break with renewed energy and intensity. Their persistence paid off in the 84th minute when defender Daniel Jakony restored the lead with a well-directed header from captain Saidi Kyeyune’s corner kick.

Obedi Brian James put the result beyond doubt late on, finishing off a slick passing move involving Kyeyune and substitute Jemba Abdu Shakur Ramsey to cap off a convincing performance.

The victory lifted Police FC to 21 points from 11 matches, placing them third on the league table.

Police will resume league action on January 7, when they host KCCA FC at the Kira Road Police Arena.
