Two Prime Suspects Arrested Over Brutal Murder of Kakumiro Woman

Police in the Albertine have arrested two prime suspects identified as Jordan Kibuka (25) and Semata, also known as Kidewalime (23) in connection with the murder of Namulindwa Victoria (38), a resident of Rwensera B Cell, Kakumiro District.

On 27th February 2026 at Namulindwa Victoria was violently attacked at her home by the suspects, who were armed with heavy sticks. During the attack, three of her children and their maid were also seriously injured.

All the victims were rushed to Mubende Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Namulindwa Victoria later succumbed to the injuries she sustained during the assault. The other victims are currently receiving medical care and are reported to be in stable condition and expected to recover.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects had been targeting homes within Kakumiro District, using heavy sticks as their weapon of choice, with the primary intention of committing robberies. The attack is believed to have been premeditated, and the suspects are also suspected to have been involved in similar criminal incidents in the area.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of their criminal activities and to ensure the continued safety of residents in Kakumiro District.
