Police in Ibanda have successfully arrested a prime suspect in connection with a murder case that occurred in Ibanda District on 25 June 2026. The arrest has also led to the recovery of the deceased’s mobile phone, which is expected to provide valuable leads as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, Police continue to strengthen community engagement as part of ongoing efforts to address security concerns and keep the public informed.
In Kazo District, the RPC Rwizi, PRO, DPC Kazo and Deputy Resident District Commissioner (D/RDC) Kazo are currently live on Kazo FM, where they are engaging the public on the prevailing security situation in Kazo and the surrounding areas.
The engagement is aimed at fostering closer collaboration between the Police, local leadership and the community, while encouraging the public to share information that may assist in preventing and responding to crime.
Meanwhile, the immediate measures directed to address the security situation are being implemented, with Police and other relevant stakeholders continuing to monitor developments and take appropriate action.
