The Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has this afternoon opened the Eastern African Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) Organs Meeting at Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe.
Each member state sent four officers from CID, counter terrorism, training and women affairs for the meeting to discuss security matters under the theme “20 years of Resilience in Combating Transnational Organized Crime through enhanced cooperation and innovation”.
Gen. Kayihura said that the meeting will address important security matter that affects the region.
“This is a very important meeting for planning and strategizing, We are meeting at a very positive time in spite of incidents of armed conflicts in different parts of the continent like DRC, South Sudan ,Somalia among others ,we started off as three countries now we are 14 that’s an achievement in itself if we are to talk about performance indicators,” said Gen. Kayihura
