The police are investigating circumstances under which a nursing student could have died from a clinic yet his lifeless body was discovered earlier today outside his hospital bed.
Two people; Patrick Mugwanya, a clinical officer and Phionah Nampeera, all staff of the said clinic have been arrested to help in investigation.
Three more people are on the run.
They are being detained/hunted following the death of Ivan Tumukunde, 33, who is said to have been admitted at Fellowship Medical Center yesterday after an illness.
Shockingly however, his lifeless body was found in Kaguja in Matugga, Wakiso District.
The incident has sparked off fears that he could have died from the hospital, ferried and dumped there.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson C/ASP Luke Owoyesigyire has confirmed the incident.
He revealed that inquiries are going on at Matuga Police station.
“The scene has been visited and as i talk, the body has been taken to Mulago for postmortem to ascertain the actual cause of death,” he said.
