On 23/01/2019 at 2015hr, Central Police Station Kampala responded to gun shots that had been fired around Ben Kiwanuka Street.
Upon reaching the scene, it was established that Coleb Muhwezi, a guard attached to SWAT Security Company deployed at Pioneer Building, had allegedly discharged bullets that killed one person and injured another.
The deceased has been identified as Brendah Bukoye, 36, a resident of Nsambya Railway in Kampala City while the injured is Anita Nannyonjo, a student of Kampala University.
The injured has been admitted in Mulago Hospital and she is still in a critical condition.
The body of the deceased has been taken to the City mortuary at Mulago for a postmortem.
The suspect was arrested, weapon recovered and yet to give us his statement on what happened.
He has been detained on a holding charge of murder.
