UPF Deputy Director Operations SCP Nuwagira John has met and briefed the police officers who successfully completed the requirements for UN deployment ahead to South Sudan. The officers, who are 15 in number, shall represent the Uganda Police Force in various assignments serving on contract for one year under UNited Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). The last batch of the officers shall leave for South Sudan on 31.08.2021.
While in S. Sudan, these officers shall participate as experts in several fields including training, community policing, gender, CID, operations and others. The D.Director and the team from Interpol shared their experiences on Missions with these officers and implored them to successfully represent Uganda and the Police force with integrity and patriotism.
