Latest Posts Press Release

The reporting of recruits commenced on July 13, 2024, and by July 15, 2024, a total of 3,129 recruits had been received. A verification team from police headquarters conducted an assessment, which has thus far revealed that 69 recruits submitted forged academic papers.

In response to these findings, we have initiated an investigation concerning the use of forged documents and related forgery offenses. The recruits implicated in this matter were detained in police custody in Masindi but currently placed on police bond.

We previously issued a warning during the recruitment process that individuals with unscrupulous intentions would not be permitted to join the force, and that upon detection, we would pursue legal action against them.

This serves as a stern warning to all prospective candidates wishing to join the Uganda Police Force (UPF): There is no tolerance for dishonesty or deceit in our recruitment process.
