CP Muleterwa Anatoli, the head of the Community Policing Department, led a successful Sub-County Policing Model initiative at Kyabagambire Sub-County Police in Hoima District, Bunyoro Region.
The local community demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm, offering to lend land for police personnel for cultivation. They also pledged to donate more land and provide shelter for security personnel stationed in the area.
This initiative is part of the Uganda Police Force’s efforts to strengthen community policing. The Sub-County Policing Model aims to enhance police efficiency, reduce crime and violence, and promote community participation in law enforcement.
CP Muleterwa emphasized the importance of community support, encouraging residents to provide resources like land to aid police operations. He also highlighted the benefits of community policing, including improved transparency, enhanced problem-solving, and empowering communities to participate in law enforcement.
