Today, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abas Byakagaba was in Police Divisions of Nagalama and Mukono Police in Kampala Metropolitan Police, meeting with the leadership, officers, and their spouses.
He shared the force’s critical programmes, including the Sub-county policing model, and urged their support for national development programmes like the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyoga, and the National Development Programme IV (NDP IV).
The officers expressed gratitude and pledged their commitment to service, but also shared concerns about welfare and logistical gaps, which the IGP has promised to prioritise.
IGP assured the officers that their welfare, accommodation, and logistical needs are on the force’s agenda and mentioned President H.E ‘s support in addressing these needs.
He also inspected the Police Canine Breeding Centre in Nagalama, impressed by its progress, and committed to further improving its standards.
