The UPF wishes to update the public on the ongoing investigations into the aggravated robbery and murder by shooting of Kokunda Patricia, which was earlier brought to your attention. On 03/04/2026 at about 0440hours, the victim was attacked, robbed, and fatally shot by armed assailants at Teso Coach Park along Station Road near Goalman Supermarket in Soroti City.
Since our initial communication, inquiries and the hunt for suspects were intensified by police and sister security agencies.
So far, four suspects have been arrested: two (Okello Alex and Onego Felix) on the day of the incident, followed by the arrest of Epeu Simon alias Iboda in Anyara, Kalaki District, from whom UGX 7,000,000 was recovered.
On Saturday 04 April 2026, we arrested the suspected shooter, Elacu Alfred, in Orungo, Amuria District; the victim’s smartphone has also been recovered after being discarded in a bush in Kichinjani.
