The leader of the opposition in Parliament and Member of Parliament Bukoli central, Hon. Wafulu Oguttu yesterday gave a lecture to over 2600 university students and cadets at Kabalye Police Training School Masindi, on ‘The role of police in multiparty political dispensation’. This was at a lecture organized by the school to the students under the theme ‘The fight against unemployment and poverty through partnerships, enterprise and production’.
Hon. Wafula Oguttu urged the students to utilize the training for their own defense and retaliated, that youth unemployment is a trigger for chaos and crime world over.
He therefore called upon the government to create more employment avenues for the youths.
He added that police officers should get professional and vocational training and practice, so that when they retire, they can engage in various trades and earn money.
Hon. Wafula Oguttu was accompanied by Members of Parliament Kumi county Hon. Amuriat Oboi Patrick and Serere County’s Hon. Ochola Stephen.
