On 21st May 2014 at 0218pm a blue UPDF helicopter registration number AF – 321 heading to Gulu from Juba crash-landed at abalocodi near the Chinese road construction camp injuring three people on board.
The pilot (a major) the captain and the technician on board the plane were rescued and rushed to hospital for medical attention. The police cordoned the scene and is working together with the UPDF to establish the cause of the accident. Investigations have commenced and the public will be informed as soon as more details are obtained.
