The Chief Political Commissar (CPC) of the Uganda Police Force, Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) Ubaldo Bamunoba, has urged officers in the Kiira and Bukedi South police regions to uphold professionalism and adopt a people-centered approach by actively promoting community policing in their area.
On his familiarization and needs assessment tour in the Kiira Region, SCP Bamunoba emphasized the importance of officer welfare and the well-being of their families, stating it as a top priority for the force.
He directed regional management to prioritize the Subcounty policing model and intensify the fight against corruption.
SCP Bamunoba was accompanied by CP Nkore Paul, the Commissioner in charge of Political Education; SSP Nakityo Jane, the head of the Formal Education Department; and SSP Kutuusa Marion, the Staff Officer for Administration in the CPC Uganda Police Force.
