The Uganda police force football club has this morning unveiled 11 new players at kibuli police training school ahead of the new season of the Azam Uganda Premier League.
The team now stands at a capacity of 23 players as they prepare to start official training on Monday ahead of the new season of the Uganda premier league which commences 12th September 2017.
The players were unveiled by the club chairman AIGP Asan Kasingye before the media.
Addressing the media, AIGP Asan Kasingye said that the police management is promising full support to the team because it acts as a pillars in image building of the force and promoting community policing.
“Our players are to have a promising salary and allowances to motivate them so that we can achieve our goals and their goals as players”.
The chairman also promised to bring on board big sponsors so as to support and promote the team, so that they can yield better results in the coming season.
“police FC was once a strong team wining trophy, so it time to take it back on the top and also to mother players for the national team as before” said Kasingye
Police FC last season was on the verge of relegation in the Azam Uganda premier league.
The chairman also pledged to fully equip and support the team with the necessary requirement to move the club back to the top.
He further called upon the players to be dedicated and disciplined because it is a core value in football and for good reputation.
He also revealed the new deputy chairman of the club AIGP Edward Ochom director research, planning and development.
