GREATER MASAKA
Police officers on patrol last night intercepted men with suspected stolen cattle.
It was past midnight at Kalugulu village along Kiwangala – Kalisizo road in Kisekka sub county in Lwengo district when policemen attached to Kiwangala Police Station station intercepted a group of people moving animals in a suspicious manner.
When police stopped them, they fled and and left the animals behind an act which caused suspicion that the animals could have been stolen.
The six animals are currently at Kiwangala police station awaiting owners to claim for them but any delay may prompt police to seek for a court order to dispose them because Kiwangala has no holding ground for animals.
