Yesterday, the Police Marine Unit showcased the Force’s readiness and operational capabilities in ensuring safety and security on Uganda’s waters during a demonstration held at the Marine Base in Kigo, Entebbe.
Participants observed a comprehensive display of marine equipment and live demonstrations, including water rescue operations, first aid response, anti-water piracy tactics, as well as search and surveillance operations on the water.
The Commandant of the Police Marine Unit, CP Kirungi Suliman, emphasized the Unit’s critical role in safeguarding Uganda’s maritime domain and its continued contribution to national security. He reaffirmed the Unit’s preparedness and commitment to effectively respond to incidents and maintain law and order on the country’s waters.
