Police in Entebbe have successfully recovered a pistol during an intelligence-led operation conducted on 11th April 2026 in the areas of Wamala, Buzzi, Lutaba, and Ssisa Village in Wakiso District. The operation targeted houses under construction in Hossana Estate and Jomayi Estate, as well as known gambling points.
This operation followed public outcry regarding an individual suspected of being in possession of an illegal firearm. A total of 16 suspects were arrested during the exercise.
One of the suspects identified as Segujja Ronald, later led officers to the recovery of a pistol, which has since been secured as an exhibit.
All suspects are currently in police custody and will be produced before court in due course.
