Police in Bugembe have arrested a 19 year old man for illegal possession of fire arm.
Kiira Region Police Spokeswoman, SP Dina Nandawula has confirmed the development identifying the suspect as Gimei Bazilio.
Upon interrogation, Gimei who claims to be a dealer in scraps said that he bought the gun as a scrap.
His claims, to the investigators, were not convincing, prompting a search.
A search carried out at Gimei’s home led to recovery of a pistol and 55 rounds of ammunition.
The suspect is currently being held at Bugembe Police Station as further investigations continue.
