Police spokesperson, AIGP Asan Kasingye confirmed 13 dead in Masaka Road accident.
Kasingye was addressing the weekly media briefing on Monday said the fatal accident happened at Katonga last night.
“A fuso lorry UAH 970P with two occupants lost control and rammed into a Costa registration number T540 DLC carrying passengers from Kampala. All the Costa occupants are of Tanzanian origin who were from partying in Kampala” Kasingye said adding, “The survivors were first taken to Gombe for first aid and later to Mulago Hospital for further treatment. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and commend the well-wishers who partnered with our police rescue teams to save the lives of the survivors”
Kasingye noted that the police are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
