Police at Jinja Road Police Station conducted an operation on 05/03/2026 between 1000hrs and 1500hrs in the kiseka area central division in Kampala district targeting shops suspected of dealing in stolen property.
During the operation, six suspects were arrested for allegedly being in possession of suspected stolen property. A search conducted at their respective shops led to the recovery of several exhibits to aid ongoing investigations.
These included old vehicle grills, side mirrors, motor vehicle number plates, spotlights, headlamps, and baby side mirrors.
The suspects have been charged with receiving and retaining suspected stolen goods and are currently detained at Jinja Road Police Station pending prosecution.
