This report provides an annual account of the state of traffic and road safety situation in
the country for the year 2023. It highlights that the trend of road traffic deaths is in the
increase on Uganda. The burden of road traffic deaths is largely borne by pedestrians,
passengers on boda bodas and the riders themselves. The fact is that these crashes can
be prevented.
