A contingent of 23 Uganda Police Officers were yesterday welcomed back home after a one year of tour of duty at the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
Debriefing the officers at Police Headquarters Naguru yesterday , the Director Peace Support Operations, AIGP Grace Turyahumanawe urged the officers to keep discipline and use the international policing experience and exposure they got from the Mission to improve policing in Uganda.
“I urge you to be very alert and join the fight and protect Ugandans exhibiting the professionalism and experience acquired in the mission ,focusing on discipline ,smartness and your health.” He said.
Detective Sergeant Engarah Patrick was awarded best parade commander.
