Arrests Made in Murder and Aggravated Robbery Case Reported at Kiwatule Police Station

The Uganda Police Force , wishes to inform the public about progress made in the ongoing investigation of a murder and aggravated robbery case reported at Kiwatule Police Station on November 21, 2024 at around 8:00 PM.

The incident occurred on the same day at around 7:50 PM in Kiwatule Central Zone, Nakawa Division, Kampala District.

We registered the loss of two lives in that crime incident:

1. Tugume Albert Cook Apuuli, the shop owner.

2. Barnabas Sabiti, a boda boda rider.

The suspects, armed with firearms, attacked and robbed Mr. Tugume of a bag containing an unspecified amount of money, a mobile phone, and mobile money banking devices.

A joint task force was put in place to investigate this heinous crime resulting into the arrest of the following suspects:
1. Mutagubya Jimmy, male, 27 years old, a boda boda rider, and resident of Sempagala Zone, Nakawa Division, Wakiso District.2. Kayemba Bosco Ssalongo, male, 47 years old, a builder, and resident of Kawanda, Nakyesanje Zone, Nabweru Subcounty, Wakiso District.3. Makanga Marvin, male, 27 years old, unemployed, and resident of Kagoma, Maganjo, Wakiso District.

4. Suuna Hamza Mutebi, male, 30 years old, businessman, and resident of Mpererwe, Wakiso District.

They have since been charged with Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony:

The suspects still at large are:

1. Kabuye Hussein

2. Bambaiha Joseph alias Fire

 

3. Lukenge Martin

Appeal to the Public

We appeal to public to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of these suspects still on the run.
