The second edition of the IGP’s Cup tournament continued with thrilling action this weekend, with teams from across the country vying for victory.
The latest round of matches showcased remarkable performances, especially from the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CT), Police Presidential Guard (PPG), and the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department.

In a gripping match at Kasangati playground, the CID narrowly defeated the Directorate of Forensic Services, securing a 3-2 win in front of Director Tom Magambo.
Counter-Terrorism put on a dominant display, easily overcoming Fire Brigade 4-0 at Nakivubo Blue playground, showcasing their superior strength and coordination.
At Entebbe Barracks, Police Presidential Guard (PPG) delivered an impressive 8-1 win, overwhelming Team 999 Department with a commanding performance.
Elsewhere in a closely contested encounter, both Kawempe Police and Nansana Police had to settle for a goalless draw, reflecting the tight competition between the two teams.
Kajjansi secured a hard-fought victory, narrowly defeating Nsangi Police 1-0 while Logistics & Engineering edged out Traffic Police 1-0 at Kibuli Police Primary School.
Furthermore, ICT delivered a clinical performance, sweeping past Interpol Police with a 3-0 scoreline, Kabalagala Police showed no mercy, cruising to a comfortable 3-0 win over Nateete Police as CPS Kampala triumphed over Entebbe in a solid 3-1 win away from home.
Regional Highlights – Mount Moroto Zone:
In the regional games played, Napak secured a narrow 1-0 win over Amudat in a tightly contested match, Nabilatuk displayed sheer dominance, overcoming Nakapiripirit with a commanding 5-1 victory while a hard-fought match between ASTU and Moroto Police ended in a 1-1 draw.
