The chase for regional dominance in the IGP’s football tournament is heating up, with more teams sealing their spots in a weekend packed with goals, and grit.

Kween CPS rose to the occasion to represent Sipi Police Region, while Jinja Road CPS took command for Kampala Metropolitan East.

Busoga North Police Region saw Kaliro CPS emerge strong, as Rubirizi CPS stormed through for Greater Bushenyi Policing Region.

Up north in Aswa Region Police Region, Agago CPS stepped up, while Buikwe CPS flew the flag high for Sezibwa Policing Region.

On the pitch, Counter-Terrorism FC edged out Forensics Police FC with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Kyambogo Playground, and Buikwe Police continued their form with another 1-0 result over Kayunga CPS.

There was no breakthrough between Agago CPS and Kitgum CPS as they shared spoils in a goalless stalemate, while Pader CPS  turned up the heat with a commanding 3-0 win over Lamwo CPS.

Logistics & Engineering Directorate with Crime Intelligence FC couldn’t be separated in their 1-1 draw, and over in the Elgon police Region, Mbale City FC fired past Manafa CPS 4-2 in a thrilling six-goal showdown.

NNansana CPS wrapped up the weekend action with a tight 1-0 win over Kakiri CPS.

With every match, the competition grows fiercer and the stakes higher. Regional pride is on the line, and the road to the grand finale is wide open.
