Police in Kampala Metropolitan Area have arrested two suspects who were found armed with a panga near Total petrol station in Kabuusu on the night of 26th February 2026, following a timely alert from a private security officer. It is alleged that at around 9:00 p.m., a vehicle registration number UBG 514R first approached the petrol station, turned back, and returned about ten minutes later, dropping off two men opposite the same station.
The operations manager of Folalicon Security Company noticed the two men in suspicious circumstances and in possession of a panga. He quickly proceeded to and reported the matter to police officers on a beat at the traffic lights in Kabuusu. personnel deployed on motorcycle patrol. The officers responded immediately, intercepted the suspects and, upon searching them, recovered a panga.
The suspects are currently detained as investigations continue to establish their intentions, possible links to other criminal activities, and any additional accomplices.
