CP Hillary Kulayige, Deputy Director Community Policing (CPC), has extended the ongoing sensitisation and ideological orientation programme to the Mbale Sub-Region, engaging Regional and District Community Liaison Officers (CLOs) and Political Commissars (PCs).
Accompanied by SSP Dr. Grace Mutono, Directing Staff at the Senior Command and Staff College, Bwebajja, CP Kulayige reminded the officers of their roles and responsibilities in serving the public, emphasising professionalism, discipline and effective policing within their respective areas of jurisdiction.
He urged the officers to strengthen collaboration with other security agencies and local communities in preventing and fighting crime, noting that effective policing requires teamwork and strong partnerships with the people they serve.
CP Kulayige also called on the officers to support Government programmes, particularly the Parish Development Model (PDM), as part of broader efforts to promote socio-economic transformation and improve the livelihoods of communities.
The officers were further sensitised on personal welfare, financial preparedness and the importance of planning early for retirement to ensure a smooth transition from active service.
