Police Intercepts UPDF Car on Ugandan Boarder

Joint chase of Ugandan Police and Tanzanian counterpart on Monday morning intercepted stolen UPDF car at the border.
Toyota Premio registration number H4DF 1210 was intercepted after intelligence brief pointing the car to be heading to Mutukula, Uganda’s boarder with Tanzania.
It is against the above background that a joint team started the chase after the vehicle.
Greater Masaka Police Spokes person Kigozi has confirmed recovery of the vehicle saying, “When security attempted to stop them at Mutukula boarder, they sped off crossing into Tanzania”
He added that, “Tanzanian Police then joined the chase. On realizing that, they abandoned the vehicle and escaped”
Kigozi revealed that after the search, pair of army boots, pair of army uniform, 6 ceremonial badges and two warrants cards in names Charles Onyutha (RA/024991) and Rose Kobusingye (RA/22553) were recovered.
He said the vehicle has been handed over to Police at Mutukula as hunt for occupants continue.
