Armed Robbery
They are; Edison Asiimwe 46 yrs of Rwabakyina cell Nyanja parish Maziba sub county who was arrested on 25/08/18 on an intelligence tip off.
On searching his premises, we recovered a robbed motor cycle and two pairs of uniform belonging to the UPDF and another for UWA. Also recovered is a gun suspected to have been used in the recent wave of armed robberies in the area.
The gun, an AK 47 rifle is of number No 3402253 – 07135 found with twelve rounds of ammunition and a panga were recovered wrapped in a blanket on 01/09/18.
Other suspects include; Martin Byaruhanga 31 yrs, a boda boda rider and a resident of Kinyu cell, Butobere Ward, Central division in Kabale municipality. He was also found in possession of a robbed motor cycle reg UEK 649 R (bajaj) which was robbed from Nuwagaba Fenehasi a boda rider on 5/7/18 at Kagarama Trading Centre in Kahondo parish Maziba sub county.
Benson Katanba 38 yrs of Katete central cell/ ward Nyamitanga division Mbarara municipality is another suspect in our custody.
Inquiries are going on vide CRBs 1502/18, 1503/18 and 1874/18 of Kabale Central Police Station.
