The police are mourning the death of Assistant Inspector General of Police Shariita Julius that occurred today 14th. 02. 2015 at 0500 hours from New York.
At the time of his death, he had diligently served the Uganda police for the last 28 years, and was the police attaché to Uganda’s mission in New York. He leaves behind a widow Jane Shariita and his children, Geoffrey, Justus, Julian, Juliet, Jean, Joshua, Leonard and Steven.
The Inspector General of Police would like to extend his condolence on behalf of the institution to the deceased’s family that has lost someone so dear to them.
To the police, the officer’s death is a great loss as he was a very popular, dedicated and highly respected in the police circles. His contributions to the force will forever remain remarkable and worth emulating.
Arrangements to transport his body home for burial are in place.
We pray that may his soul rest in eternal peace; and for the institution and family members to take courage and bear the great loss of their beloved one.
