Police Flying Squad Unit in Mbarara have tracked and cracked down a criminal gang operating in areas of Rwizi and Greater Bushenyi regions in Nyakaizi cell,Kakoba division.
Police was acting on a Case file of Sheema of aggravated robbery of Bam petrol station in Kabwohe town on 04/03/2019 where over Shs 24 million was robbed at gun point and the assailant took off on Motorcycle UEB 527V.
Today, the thugs were able to be tracked by Flying Squad of Mbarara with help from a team from Kampala in Nyakaizi cell where during the operation one Mbaine Yonasani aged 40yrs a born of Bushenyi Ishaka was put out of action and an SMG UG PSO 340235607221 with two rounds of ammunition recovered.
His body was taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Three suspects connected to the offense were apprehended and they are; Nyonyintono Abbey, Kato Patrick and Odeke Hussein who are on transit to Sheema where the offence was committed.
