A team from the Uganda Police Force Inspectorate Department, led by Commissioner of Police Richard Ecega, has concluded a three-day inspection of sub-county police stations across the Sebei Sub-region.

The inspection assessed the implementation and impact of the sub-county policing model, with a focus on service delivery, operational effectiveness, and the accessibility of police services to the wananchi.

Addressing officers during the exercise, CP Ecega commended them for their commitment to duty and urged them to remain disciplined, vigilant, and professional, noting that they are ambassadors of the Inspector General of Police in their respective communities.

He further cautioned officers against neglecting their responsibilities, emphasizing the need to remain available and responsive to the public at all times in order to maintain trust and confidence in the Uganda Police Force.

The inspection team noted a decline in crime across the Sebei Sub-region, attributing the improvement to the successful implementation of the sub-county policing model, which has enhanced police visibility, community engagement, and timely response to incidents.
