Invitation for Assessment for Mission Service (AMS) for Individual Police Officers (IPOs) to Serve in the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM)

The African Union is seeking highly qualified and experienced Individual Police Officers (IPOs) to serve in the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM)

We invite applications from Police Personnel who meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Are attested and have at least seven years of service.

2. Have a clean service record and are not undergoing disciplinary proceedings.

3. Hold a valid driving permit and are able to drive manual vehicles.

4. Possess a valid passport.

Selected candidates will undergo an Assessment for Mission Service (AMS) to evaluate their suitability for deployment to the AUSSOM.

Requirements among others:

– File/Force number, Rank, Names, Date of birth, Age, Place of birth, Gender, Date of enlistment, Years of service, Passport number, Driving permit number, Number of years of driving experience, Unit, Tribe and Recommendation and stamp by Unit Commander.

Mission:

The African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) is mandated to support the Federal Government of Somalia in its efforts to stabilize the country and promote peace, security, and reconciliation.

Assessment Process

The Assessment for Mission Service (AMS) will evaluate candidates’ knowledge, skills, and competencies required for deployment to the AUSSOM.

The assessment will include:

Written examination, Practical driving test, Oral interview, Computer test, Medical examinations

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit their applications and attach the Peace Support Operations (PSO) Data Capture Form, copies of relevant documents to the peace support operations office not later than 5th of September 2024.

Female Police officers with the above qualities are highly encouraged to apply.
