Police in Wandegeya have arrested two suspects who were found wandering at night while armed with dangerous weapons.
The suspects have been identified as Omirambe Nizara (18) and Ochom Daniel (23), both residents of Kawempe Division in Kampala District.
The arrest occurred in the early hours of 18th March 2026 at approximately 12:23 a.m., during a routine patrol by officers from Kikoni B Police Station near Nyumbani Hotel.
According to police, the officers encountered a group of about six youths who fled upon noticing their presence. Two of the suspects were successfully apprehended.
A search conducted on the suspects revealed that Omirambe Nizara was in possession of a panga and a knife concealed on his person.
The suspects are currently in custody at Wandegeya Police Division. The case file has been compiled and is pending submission to the Resident State Attorney for legal advice.
Investigations are ongoing.
