In an effort to promote sporting activities and forster talent development, Uganda Police Force has donated an assortment of sports equipment to the youth of Paidha District.
These included 10 footballs, 10 netballs, 18 pairs of football jerseys, 15 pairs netball jerseys, 2 football goal nets, 37 training cones, 2 pairs of goalkeeper gloves, 2 pairs of goal keeper jerseys, 33 pairs of stockings and 24 Pieces of training Bibs.
The aforementioned assortment of sports equipment worth Ten million Ugandan shillings (Shs. 10,000,000) were handed over by the Force Sports Officer, SSP Kalule Abu on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Kalule urged the youth in Paidha to be disciplined, engage in different sports activities as this will provide the future stars of the nation.
He further pledged Police’s commitment towards developing talent countrywide and encouraged the parents aid the youths in identifying their potential.
The donated items were received by the Mayor Paidha on behalf of the youth in the district who applauded the Force for the timely givebacks to community and urged other entities to join the cause of developing talent.
