Latest Posts Press Release

Today, Tuesday, 16th June 2026, at about 6:00 a.m., Police from Arua Central Business Division arrested a suspect in connection with a case of motorcycle theft and conducted an operation to recover a suspected stolen motorcycle.

The suspect led the team to Hidmola Hotel, formerly Republic Hotel, specifically to the parking area located along Lemerujua Road, Obolokofuku Cell, Central Ward, Arua City, where the motorcycle had allegedly been hidden.

Upon recovery of the motorcycle, the suspect further pointed out other motorcycles suspected to have been stolen within the same parking yard. Due to the presence of numerous unregistered and numberless motorcycles at the scene, the team impounded additional motorcycles for verification.

In total, 27 unregistered motorcycles without registration numbers were recovered and transported to Arua City Central Business Division Police Station, where they are currently parked pending verification and further investigations.

A General Enquiry File (GEF) has been opened. The proprietor and manager of the premises have recorded statements to assist with ongoing investigations.

Members of the public who may have lost motorcycles are encouraged to visit Arua CPS to cross-check and verify ownership.

More operations are ongoing as inquiries continue under Arua City Central Business Division GEF 088/2026.
