The police Mouthpiece SSP Emilian Kayiima has urged police officers especially in the lower ranks like the Field Force Patrol (FFP) to always serve the public with the highest level of integrity, this was at Naguru police barracks today as they were receiving Christmas gifts worthy 20million from Target Limited one of the distribution companies in Uganda.
“Do the right right job and people will appreciate you”Kayima said.
Over 300 hundred police officers received household items that included eatables like packed foods such as beans, baking flour,cooking oil and beddings from Target limited.
Leticia Jingo the managing Director of Target limited said this has been done to appreciate the good job that police does in protecting their businesses especially in the downtown area of Kampala.
Target limited is a group of companies that runs a number of shops both Sekaziga and Ham shopping malls dealing in general merchandise.
“Police has always protected our businesses especially in times of riots that’s why we have to appreciate the police officers” Jingo said.
Kayima further said that the action by Target limited is also a wake up call to police officers to continue serving better saying that this is a sign that the public appreciates police work and it will help improve the police image in the long run.
