The Territorial Police in KMP East and Kiira division, have 9 suspects who were arrested for noise pollution in Kireka Bweyogerere in Kira Municipality. The facts gathered indicate that on the 10.9.2023, at around midnight, concerned residents reported to police, that there were a number of bars that were playing loud music, making it uncomfortable for residents in Kireka Bweyogerere to sleep.
A Joint Task Team from Kira division and Bweyogerere, carried out a counter operation and arrested 9 suspects from the 3 bars, of Sam, Obed and Simon. They included; Byarugaba Peter, Akandunda Brenda, Tumuheki Deus, Kansime Osbert, Kashanya James, Andabati James, Pandi Ramathan, Atiku Simon and Obita Robert. Several exhibits and speakers were recovered.
