Officers from the Senior Command and Staff Collage, Bwebajja Intake 008/2024–2025, have concluded a five-day national study tour aimed at strengthening their leadership and strategic capabilities.
The tour, held from June 30 to July 4, 2025, involved 41 senior officers and offered hands-on exposure to key sectors contributing to Uganda’s national development. The officers visited:
1. National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO)
2. Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) – Nakawa and Namanve
3. Entebbe International Airport
4. Dr. Naluyima’s 1-Acre Model Farm
5. Kiira Motors Corporation
6. Nytil Uganda
7. Sino Uganda Mbale Industrial Park
Through these visits, the officers gained practical insights into innovation, sustainable agriculture, industrialization, aviation security, entrepreneurship, and environmental management. The tour is part of the Uganda Police Force’s broader strategy to develop a competent, knowledgeable, and future-ready leadership.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr. Babrah Alungat, Commandant of the College, commended the Inspector General of Police and Police Management for prioritizing continuous professional development.
“This tour has broadened our understanding of Uganda’s economic and technological landscape,” Dr. Alungat said. “We return more informed and better prepared to apply these lessons in our policing responsibilities.”
