UPF Deploys 20 Officers for East Africa Inter-Forces Judo Championship in Kampala

The Uganda Police Force has fielded a team of 20 officers at the ongoing East Africa Inter-Forces Judo Championship in Kampala, reflecting its dedication to regional sportsmanship and enhanced cooperation among security agencies.

The tournament, taking place at the Old Kampala Sports Arena, has drawn 80 participants from the armed forces, Police, Army, and Prisons representing Uganda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi.
The competitions will run from 5th to 7th December 2025.

The championship is designed to build unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding among security forces in the region, while providing a platform that encourages discipline, physical fitness, teamwork, and cultural exchange through the sport of judo.

This year’s event is sponsored by the Intelligent Transport Monitoring System (ITMS).
