The territorial Police in Kyegegwa has in custody, a notorious suspect who has been part of the gang behind incidents of aggravated robberies of motorcycles. The suspect who has been identified as Saturday Francis, a 34 year old, boda boda rider from Kisiita village, Kakabara Sub County Kyegegwa District, was, on October 6, 2019 from Katadde village, Nangabo Town council, Wakiso District following an intelligence led operation, where two stolen motorcycles under Registration number UEW 301A and UET 735X were found in his possession.
The task team also recovered, log books for the suspected stolen motorcycles under reg numbers UEO 841N, UET 587D, UEO 421I, UEU 644U, and UET 735; Agreements for motorcycles REG NOs UER 836Q, UEF 844D, UEO 423I, UEE 215G, UEN 428H, UEF 597F and UEO 926M; Receipts for motorcycles: UET 735X, UEO 423I, UEH 606S, UEF 567D, UEE 215G and UEE 695B. In addition a bag containing spare parts was also recovered.
Further investigations led to the recovery of two more motorcycles under Reg. No. UER 836Q and UEY O12F.The hunt for the other suspects Muzinduki Erisa of Kakabara and Kakuru Lauben a former convict who previously was imprisoned at Kaweri in Mubende District on similar charges, who form part the criminal gang, is ongoing. We call upon anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these two notorious criminals to avail it to the nearest Police.
