The Directorate of Crime Intelligence, carried out an intelligence led operation and arrested a one Lukungu Ivan alias Pallaso, a 25 year old, resident of Nyendo in connection with the robbery of cash, which occurred at the home of Hajji Lumolo and his wife Hon. Amb. Nekesa. The task team booked out from old Kampala division and Katwe division, on intelligence to Masaka, on the 25.01.2024. .
After 2 days, of intensified surveillance, they arrested the suspect on the 27.01.2024 along Edward street in Masaka City. Upon further interrogation, he admitted to having participated in the robbery that took place in Muyenga, and confirmed that he received Ugx 120m, out of their loot, which he spent as follows;
a. Bought a Toyota Harrier at Ugx 62m
b. Restaurant at Ugx 10m
c. A house at Nyendo Mukude at Ugx 20m
d. Plot along Nabugabo road Masaka at Ugx 15m
e. An electronic shop bought at good will worth Ugx 16m
It was established that the suspect was in Masaka City, from the 10.01.2024, till todate, and was transferred from Masaka to Kabalagal police division for further court process. At the time of his arrest, he had allegedly spent Ugx 123m. He now becomes the 13th suspect in the incident of armed robbery.
