Police recovers over 50 stolen motorcycles.

Police in Buyende Busoga North, in an attempt to crack down, motorcycle robberies, over 50 suspected stolen motorcycles were recovered in the previous week in an operation headed by the District Police Commander Muhammad Kirumira.
According to the Regional Police spokesperson Michael Kasadha this was due to intelligence, that Buyende district had become an economic hub for stolen motorcycles.
“This prompted us to carry out an impromptu operation which has yielded us great success.” Added kasadha
He adds that police is in collaboration with URA so as to establish and confirm ownership and details of the motorcycles.
“We have submitted requests for the particulars of these motorcycles at URA, Nakawa. We expect results next week, where we shall base to dig up to last person in the chain of these robberies”. Adds PRO.
