ACP Nabakka Claire of the Formal Education Department in the Uganda Police Force inspected the ongoing renovation works at Masaka Police Children’s School.
The renovation is being undertaken by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through a community policing partnership with the Uganda Police Force. The project, which commenced early this year, involves the refurbishment of three classroom blocks, a staff room, toilets, and water tanks. The contractor confirmed that the works are on schedule and will be completed by the end of July 2026.
Masaka Police Children’s School is a day nursery and primary school serving children of police officers as well as learners from the surrounding community.
During the visit, ACP Nabakka applauded the partnership and the quality of work undertaken. She later met with the teaching staff to discuss the school’s challenges and strategies for implementing the competency-based curriculum, with emphasis on practical, hands-on learning.
Masaka Police Children’s School is one of 11 Police Primary Schools established across the country through collaboration between the Government, the Uganda Police Force, and community partners to provide quality education to children of police officers and neighbouring communities.
